WORKINGTON RINGING CENTRE

Text Box: The "Workington Ringing Centre" was set up to promote and teach the art of bellringing in Cumbria. Located in West Cumbria. It is available to ringers in the Carlisle Diocesan Guild area and further afield. The centre and its facilities are available for use by individuals and tower groups as well as training courses.

 

Text Box: The Centre was established in Workington at St Michael’s to take advantage of the modern conference facilities available in the church. Not all training events need to be based in Workington as most of the equipment can be moved if required.

Courses

· A range of activities to interest ringers of all abilities are available

· The simulator is also available to individuals and tower groups by arrangement.

Tutors and Helpers

Text Box: Courses will not run without volunteer tutors and helpers. Please support courses and make use of the facilities in your area. Ringers of all abilities can benefit from some simulator training.

Charges

Text Box: A small charge is made to cover running expenses.

Text Box: Course fees will vary depending on facilities used and the number of tutors needed.

Regular weekly practices

Text Box: The local band practice regularly on Monday evening 7:30 – 9:00 pm.

Text Box: The simulator is normally available before the practice from 7:00 pm.
