Getting there

By Road

A66 from west

Cross the M6 to the next roundabout (Kemplay Bank), turn left (A6) to town centre. The Church is to the east of the main route (old A6) through the town centre, most easily approached using the third turning to the right after the mini-roundabout (Langton St, becoming Frairgate). Follow the road round to the left and try to park in the spaces just past the Job Centre (if there are no spaces, see further parking ideas below). The Church is now ahead and to your left. From the car park walk back in the direction you have come and the church is accessed via a set of steps opposite you across the main road.

M6 from North or South leave at A66 Junction 40

Follow signs for Brough/Scotch Corner to next roundabout (Kemplay Bank A66/A6/A686 junction) turn left to town centre. Then follow more detailed instructions, as above.

A66 or A688 from east

Turn right at Kemplay Bank roundabout into Penrith (A6) going north. Then follow more detailed instructions, as above.

Parking

There is a mixture of Disc and Pay parking. Penrith is a very busy town (particularly in school holidays) and spaces are not easily guaranteed near the Church, even in the evening. The largest car park, where you should easily find a space, is at Sainsbury's supermarket (Pay & Display), which is around 10-15 minutes walk from the church. When you come into the town centre from the South side (as directed above), you will find a signpost for the supermarket to your left around half a mile from the main A66/A6/A686 roundabout.

By Rail

West Coast mainline station in Penrith, though not all through trains from south or north stop.

Eating & Drinking

A wide selection of pubs and eating places to match all pockets and tastes is available. There are ethnic and European restaurants as well as English, from fish & chips onwards.

Toilets

Toilets are available in the church, which are usually kept locked. The disabled toilet can be opened by a "Radar" key; the bellringers have a key for the other toilet.
St Andrews House in the lane at the south side of the church also has some, open at certain times (and also has a coffee shop at certain times as well). Rooms can be booked here for groups wishing to cater for themselves.
Public Toilets at various locations can be found in the town, all some distance from the church. Those at the south car park include disabled facilities.
