Ringing around the Lake District

Welcome to our website

Five Guild Towers

Introducing the CDGCBR

Welcome to our website where you can find out about ringing in the towers of the Carlisle DGCBR. Our towers are scattered across west, east and north Cumbria; extending from Irton, with its magnificent view of Wasdale, and St Bees, on the Irish Sea coast, across to the edge of the Pennines where Appleby and Kirkby Stephen, are linked by the Settle-Carlisle Railway. In the centre lies Keswick and the Lake District; in the north Carlisle and Brampton are close to the Scottish border and Hadrian's Wall. So whether you are a tower grabber or planning a holiday with some ringing allow plenty of time for your visit.
