Guild Events Programme
Meetings
The Guild organises a range of practice meetings and social
events during the year. Each Branch arranges a programme of monthly
practices which are open to all members and visitors. Special surprise
practices are also arranged on a monthly basis. The Ringing Centre also
organises occasional special events.
Please try and support guild events; they are arranged for your benefit
and enjoyment.
On rare occasions events have to be cancelled; please check with the
branch officers beforehand.
Annual Striking Competition
This year Penrith hosts the competition on June 12. Will the home team have an advantage again this year? Please try to enter a team from your tower and enjoy a chat and relax listening to the other bands. We usually have a sunny day, so keep your fingers crossed!

RAISING AND LOWERING
This event is aimed at ringers wanting to learn to ring up/down in peal.
Participants should be able to ring a single bell up and down safely.
An essential for the day is a team of ringers to provide a steady framework for the students.
Have a good breakfast first or use the exercise to work up an appetite for lunch!
